“Mommy, can we really do something this year to help the earth?” Our first realization came from our younger daughter. She was born on earth day and I always joked that she was my green contribution to this planet. Lo, and behold she would have the heart of Mother Theresa and the will power of an Olympic gold medalist. She showed us that our tooth brushes were plastic and they didn’t break down, nor could they be recycled! Shocking! So we began to think, what else on earth could we use to clean our teeth that wasn’t plastic? Hmmmm….
This led us on a search for alternative bathroom products and we found an awesome little company that not only cuts out plastic packaging but works hard to plant a lot of trees! The ZERO WASTE CARTEL plants a tree for each product purchased! They are also located in Texas so that cuts down on our carbon foot print due to less shipping! Our favorites are the bamboo toothbrushes and the shampoo/ conditioner bars.
